The author spends far more time quoting Christian Scriptures and maxims then he does actually telling you anything useful about Bushido. Surely no one will read this to understand “the soul of Japan,” whatever that may be.
Waste of 2 hours.

I’m done with it. With an introduction by William Elliot Griffis. When I read these comparisons, it brought up mostly negative images even though it was clear that the author meant it to be a positive image. Second, Nitobe’s sources are a bit suspect.
