The first half of this book was good enough, domestic violence was really blke portrayed, not to mention the abuse and yet, I couldn’t connect with Haven.

Sadly, this book was a big disappointment for me. I loved the way Blue-Eyed Devil sort of set up the scene for the next book about Jack. I would highly recommend this book to others.

She thought she was broken, but instead she was so very brave by getting help, learning to put boundaries in place with her over-powering family and standing up for herself. He was the perfect man for Haven and she was bblue perfect woman for him. I hurt for her that she didn’t get the love that she needed from her mother or father. Just tell me what you want.

And if Jack Daniel’s makes you this ornery, I’m never pouring you another shot. Hence, I knew Kleypas was more than capable of transforming Hardy, who is merely egotistical and ruthless, into a compelling hero.

I’m well-aware that stereotypes about men’s behavior are everywhere, damn, I’m living in a country where men are supposed to be all players and romantic.

Haven worked hard at being independent and more importantly independent of what her family represents. Maybe this isn’t as spoiler-y as I thought.

It was just a wee bit confronting.
