Set in a futuristic society similar to Earth, Aerin Renning is a seventeen-year-old orphan trying not to appear needy.

In terms of the relationship osterludn the characters, there is more a hint of romance as opposed to a deluge of it. I was absolutely intrigued by the world Osterlund created. I am really, really, really hoping there’s a book 2. I also liked her stubborness and osterlynd interactions with Dane. They accept the honour, but both are running or hiding away from something.

These characters wouldn’t have fallen into a head-over-heels love affair in the situation they were in, so I liked that they kept each other at arm’s length until aanne were ready for emotional investment. I’d say it’s more of a drama than anything else. I’m a huge fan of Aurelia and Exile!

Only flag comments that clearly need our attention. I’m not sure what it lacked exactly, because acadsmy I try to nail it down, no one specific component felt lacking, but overall there was definitely something missing, keeping this book just short of perfection. I highly suggest this book to anyone definitely worth the read. While the connection Dane and Aerin form is central to the story and takes up a large part of the plot, it is more based around the development of mutual trust and understanding. Getting past those little niggles down the back, the beginning was terrifically dramatic until Aerin gets taken on by that acadmey and seems to see no one important except the captain.

However, the attention to detail and the carefully constructed back stories of both Aerin and Dane render them more nuanced, giving their personalities and actions a believable context.

But Dane and Aerin both harbor dangerous secrets, and the two are linked in ways neither of them could ever have imagined. Dane is the son of a decorated military general, acade,y gifted and stubborn young man dogged by family discord and public notoriety. In actuality, it’s a gripping science-fiction adventure. Why are the protagonists all 17 when they start Academy 7?

He is my favourite character in the book and Osterund couldn’t help but want to hug him and squeeze him.

Academy 7 by Anne Osterlund

Set in the osgerlund world, where life is not restricted to odterlund planet only but extends to other planets as well, this is a blend of science fiction, romance and mystery.

But I carried on reading and after an uncomfortable first chapter, I settled right into this book. It’s funny what a big difference expectations make on how much you can enjoy a book.

Anne who is currently reading a biography–gasp! Fortunately Aerin consistently outwits him at sparring. This book is an excellent study in character.
